Most dental ailments are preventable. Preventive care, including regular checkups and cleanings, is the key to maintaining your oral health. With regular visits to our Mentor, Ohio dentist, problems can be diagnosed early and treated without extensive testing or elaborate and expensive procedures. If you feel you or someone you love has a dental problem, our diagnostic services can help you identify the problem and correct it now before it becomes a bigger problem later.

Dr. Grbach carefully looks at all your teeth and your gums to see if any issues exist. Our caring hygienists measure your gum health and report to Dr. Grbach their findings.
Our professional hygienists carefully remove any plaque and tartar from your teeth and gums so they remain healthy. They will finish by polishing your teeth so you will have a bright healthy smile.
We use low radiation digital images to look – between your teeth where we can’t see with our eyes – to see cavities in between your teeth when they are small and easily repaired. It also allows us to monitor your bone levels around your teeth helping us catch early gum disease.
After your teeth have been cleaned and polished we offer you a fluoride treatment to strengthen your teeth. A clean tooth surface absorbs the fluoride making the enamel stronger and more resistant to decay
Oral Hygiene Instructions
Our caring hygienists will take the time to show you tips on how to improve your home care.
We realize the old saying “You are what you eat” is especially true for healthy teeth. Many foods and drinks contain acids that can weaken your tooth enamel. We can make suggestions to eliminate these acidic foods or at least offer strategies to help you limit the damage from acidic food and drinks.
Dr. Grbach recommends placing sealants on the biting surfaces of new adult molars as they erupt into your child’s mouth. The deep grooves on the biting surface of new molars collect plaque and this can lead to decay. A dental sealant fills these grooves with a thin plastic material that prevents food and plaque from gathering and causing decay.
We have recently started to use Curadont. In many of our teenage and young adult patients we see cavities starting in between their teeth when we take digital radiographs. Curadont allows us to treat these areas with a special process that has been proven to help reverse the decay. We use Curadont on areas where the decay hasn’t fully broken through the enamel.
